When something evokes contradictory opinions (sharp negativity alternating with delight and admiration), it means that you need to seek a golden mean. To understand for whom an unloading day on coffee is ideal, and for whom it is contraindicated, it is important to clearly understand the positive and negative sides of the beverage.

Pros

If we put the emotions of the fans aside, there are many positive points:

  1. Gives a powerful energy boost to the body, increases physical and mental performance (caffeine is responsible).
  2. Lowers cholesterol levels, improves microcirculation, strengthens the vascular wall (vitamins PP, P, and B3, which are formed when the beans are roasted).
  3. Normalizes the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract (chlorogenic acid and tannins).
  4. Antiseptic action, which is important for preventing fermentation processes and improving the function of normal intestinal microflora (essential oils).
  5. Improves mood (unique taste and aroma, which can relieve depression).

Cons

The negative effects are primarily due to caffeine. In this case, the quantity is important. If drinking 1-2 cups usually does not have consequences, then drinking 6-7 cups immediately affects your health:

  1. Regular consumption forms a psychological dependence.
  2. Increases heart rate and blood pressure (short-term effect).
  3. Enhances the excretion of minerals (calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium).
  4. Strong diuretic action (risk of dehydration).

If you think about it, many of the negative effects can be successfully used when losing weight. The main thing is to be moderate. A properly organized coffee unloading day will help you lose up to 2 pounds of excess weight. In a month, this is already 6-8 pounds, without having to endure prolonged starvation. Just once a week, enjoy the exquisite taste and aroma in combination with certain dietary products.

Unloading Day Options

Weight loss occurs in several directions at once:

  • accelerates metabolism, including lipolysis (fat breakdown);
  • reduces the absorption of carbohydrates in the intestines (action of chlorogenic acid);
  • reduces appetite;
  • diuretic action (getting rid of hidden edema);
  • normalizes digestion and intestinal microflora.

It is difficult to imagine a more comprehensive mechanism for weight loss. Therefore, recipes for coffee unloading are so popular.

On green coffee

It is made from unprocessed green berries. What are its weight loss benefits?

  • less caffeine, which appears during roasting, which means that the amount of beverage you drink can be increased;
  • more chlorogenic acid – the main fat-burning substance;
  • lowers blood insulin levels, which is important for accelerating metabolic processes (the pounds disappear faster).

The taste is peculiar. It has a greenish-tart aftertaste, similar to a green persimmon. On an unloading day, you can drink no more than three such cups, preferably before meals to further reduce appetite.

Sample menu:

  • breakfast: 150 g of low-fat cottage cheese;
  • lunch: salad of tomatoes with herbs;
  • dinner: apple.

The amount of water should not be less than 1.5 liters. It is also brewed a little differently. One cup requires not one teaspoon, but three.

On black coffee

For unloading, you can use from three to five cups. Drink without sugar, but be sure to have a diet product. Here is a list of what will not spoil the effect of losing weight:

  • low-fat cottage cheese 100-150 g (additionally replenishes the loss of calcium);
  • vegetables: bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs (you can make a salad with the addition of olive oil);
  • apples.

Do not forget – it is better to do without sugar, but additional fluid is simply necessary.

On instant coffee

For many, the process of brewing ground beans becomes an insurmountable obstacle for such an unloading day. Can they be replaced with an instant option? Yes, especially if it’s green coffee. Then all the beneficial properties for weight loss are completely preserved.

We choose a high-quality product. The main thing is the caffeine content. It is maximally preserved in freeze-dried form. There is slightly less of it in granulated form. Some cheap brands (most powdered beverages) have only surrogate substitutes for taste and smell and are completely useless.

On coffee with chocolate

This recipe will probably be the most popular of all. Chocolate is not only a tasty delicacy, but also a recognized antidepressant (as confirmed by scientific studies).

Only black, bitter varieties are suitable for an unloading day. You can eat 100 g per day, dividing it into 5 meals. We supplement such a “feast” with a cup of aromatic coffee, of course without sugar.

Important! You can drink water only three hours after the next serving of products.

On coffee with milk

What are the benefits of such a combination? There are a lot of them:

  • softening the bitter taste;
  • enrichment of the diet with calcium (with regular use of such unloading days, this is important for the prevention of osteoporosis);
  • the milk protein is used as a building material by all cells of the body, it is digested for a long time and leads to prolonged satiety.

Menu: 5 cups at regular intervals. You can add some vegetables and fruits.

On coffee and kefir

The combination is less popular than with milk. But in terms of efficiency, it is more justified. After all, kefir additionally enhances the diuretic effect, normalizes digestion, and helps the growth of microflora. It is also an excellent source of calcium and other trace elements.

Menu: drinks can be drunk separately (kefir amount is 1 liter). There is also an original cocktail recipe: for a glass of kefir (250 ml), add 1 teaspoon of ground beans and 1/2 spoonful of cocoa. This is a protein shake option that is good for waking up in the morning.

On coffee and water

The effectiveness of such a recipe is based on the diuretic effect. Suitable for people with obesity, which is always accompanied by edema. Drink up to 5 cups of coffee and 1.5 liters of water per day. You can have some cottage cheese (100 g), vegetables and fruits.

On coffee and tea
