Kefir Fasting Day: Lose Weight Fast and Delicious

No festive table is complete without kiwi: fruit salads, cocktails, and berry pies. But we are interested in its dietary properties. Nutritionists have long included “Chinese gooseberry”, as it is also called, in their list of “healthy” foods. We will tell you all about a fasting day based on it.

Benefits

This berry is native to China. The wild ancestor of modern plants was brought to New Zealand, where, after selection, it acquired the taste and appearance familiar to millions of its fans today. The fruit is appreciated for its unusual taste: a mixture of gooseberry, banana, melon, strawberry, apple, and pineapple. Its usefulness lies in its unique composition and caloric content.

Low calorie content

100 g contains only 50 kcal. This calorie content tends to zero. All the energy is spent on the digestion process itself. That is why you can eat kiwi in unlimited quantities, without fear for your figure. For fasting days, 1 kg is usually recommended. This is 500 kcal.

Biologically active substances

It contains a unique enzyme actinidin, which is similar in properties to digestive enzymes. It breaks down proteins and speeds up metabolism. Thus, adipose tissue is consumed faster, and extra pounds go away. Kiwi is very useful to eat with meat and other “heavy” foods.

Dietary fiber

It is virtually indigestible. Passing through the intestines, it “picks up” all the waste products that accumulate there as a result of improper nutrition. The amount of these harmful substances increases during weight loss. After they are excreted, food absorption improves, intoxication disappears, and the feeling of heaviness in the abdomen disappears.

A storehouse of biochemistry

Everyone knows about the benefits of vitamins and minerals. Here are the advantages of kiwi over other fruits and berries:

  • A huge amount of vitamin C. 100 g contains a daily dose of it. This is more than in all citrus fruits and bell peppers combined. It is not directly related to weight loss, but this “bonus” is very useful for immunity.
  • Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant that slows down aging and prevents the formation of atypical tumor cells. It is found in high-calorie foods – eggs, nuts, and fatty fish. Those who follow their figure usually do not eat like that, so they have a deficiency of vitamin E. Kiwi will help solve this problem.
  • Nicotinic acid (PP) lowers blood triglyceride and cholesterol levels. For those suffering from severe forms of obesity, this is very important (prevention of heart attack, stroke, and diabetes).
  • Of the trace elements, iodine is especially important for those losing weight. It is necessary for the thyroid gland, because without its normal functioning, it is impossible to regulate weight.

The composition is also rich in vitamins A, group B (B1, B6, B12, B5), calcium, potassium, magnesium, and phosphorus. Such diversity, combined with low calorie content, guarantees excellent results in losing weight without harm to health. After all, the lack of nutrients is the main reason why nutritionists do not approve of getting carried away with diets.

Preparation

In order to get the maximum effect (it is possible to lose up to 1.5 kg per day), proper preparation is important:

  1. The day before, give up fatty and “harmful” foods (exclude foods with dyes, preservatives, fried and smoked foods).
  2. Have dinner no later than 18:00, and it is better if it is just a glass of kefir.
  3. Prepare 2 liters of still mineral water and 1 kg of kiwi in advance.

How to choose a quality product?

Probably, everyone has bought unripe fruits at least once. How disappointing it is when, instead of a delicious and sweet delicacy, you get something that immediately ends up in the trash? In order not to make such a mistake again, remember a few simple rules:

  • Choose the golden mean in density: too firm – unripe, and very soft – usually overripe or even spoiled.
  • In color: look for an even greenish-protective color and light pubescence. If there are dark spots or uneven “shagginess”, it is better to refrain from buying.
  • Smell: fresh fruits do not smell. With prolonged storage, they begin to give off a “wine” aroma – this is a sign of spoilage.
  • A special place – the attachment point of the stalk. If, when pressed, a drop of juice appears on it, then it was not stored properly.
  • An additional coating: it should not be! This is a sign of mold.

And finally, it is better to buy fruits not packaged, but by weight. There is a reason why they cost a little more. Sellers thus confirm that in packaged products it is easier to hide spoiled fruits.

Options

Option 1. Basic

The classic fasting day on kiwi involves the following menu:

  1. Kiwi – 1 kg
  2. Chicken breast without skin – 1 pc.
  3. Still water and green tea – 2 liters

It is better to boil the meat in the morning on the same day. Divide the food into 6 equal parts. It will turn out to eat every 2 hours. In between, drink water and tea without sugar.

Why chicken breast?

  • It is almost pure protein, which is guaranteed not to be deposited as fat.
  • Proteins are digested for a long time and give a long-lasting feeling of satiety.
  • It is also an excellent building material for muscle tissue. If you practice such days regularly and combine them with physical activity, then in a month you can lose 4-6 kg and make your figure slimmer and more athletic.

How often can you have a fasting day? Usually, nutritionists recommend doing this once a week. More often it is stressful, which can result in a “breakdown” and weight gain.

Option 2. On kiwi and kefir

The menu includes kefir as an alternative to meat.

  • It contains the same amount of protein.
  • It normalizes bowel function and improves the composition of beneficial microflora.
  • It has a strong diuretic effect, which enhances weight loss.

It is recommended to drink up to 1 liter of kefir per day. Part of it can be mixed with sliced fruit and made into a cocktail. As a result, you can lose 1 kg of weight per day.

Option 3. On kiwi and apples

This recipe is suitable for those who like a little variety in their diet. Apples can be eaten both raw and baked (without sugar, of course). They contain more carbohydrates, which will be an additional bonus for those with a sweet tooth.

Recipe: Combine the products in equal proportions (0.5 kg each, maybe a little more) in any combination. The main thing is to eat 5-6 times a day and drink plenty of water or green tea without sugar.

Option 4. On kiwi and cucumbers

Cucumber fasting day itself is very effective. After all, these vegetables have no equal in caloric content (only 14 kcal per 100 g). They are 95% water.
