There is a legend that when ingested, the product decomposes subcutaneous fat, after which the body removes all unnecessary. This belief is quite tempting, but it is not true. Here’s what it actually does:

Scientific fact. Subcutaneous fat can be decomposed only by actively working muscles, i.e. during sports. Parallel activation of metabolic processes creates favorable conditions for losing weight.

Another important condition is a balanced diet. If your food is rich in refined fats and “fast” carbohydrates, pumpkin seed oil will at best slow down the appearance of new subcutaneous fat layers.

Directions for Use

How to take pumpkin seed oil for weight loss? Remember how to introduce new foods to the children’s diet: very often this is done with minimal quantities. The same approach is relevant here.

It is recommended to start taking pumpkin seed oil with one teaspoon. Add it to the salad, cooked sauce, slightly chilled portion of porridge or soup (if you eat it cold). Any dish involving the use of vegetable oil that does not require heating is suitable.

Important. Pumpkin seed oil can not be heated, as this destroys almost all of its useful properties. It is also important to observe the storage conditions: in a dark place at a temperature not higher than 25˚C.

It is advisable to enter this specific product into the diet gradually. Do not exclude the possibility of allergic reactions or individual intolerance, even of those people who eat pumpkin with pleasure and without any digestive discomfort.

Another delicate issue that you should pay attention to is the possible increase in intestinal motility. If it proceeds gently, then such an effect can only be welcomed. However, diarrhea is also possible, which can be dealt with by taking sorbents, drinking plenty of fluids and resting.

Did the body react positively to a new product? If desired, it is already possible to slightly increase the “dosage”. However, do not replace all the vegetable oil in the diet with pumpkin seed oil. The maximum allowable amount is no more than three tablespoons per day. Its excess can adversely affect the functioning of the pancreas.

If it is well tolerated, try another technique: start drinking pure pumpkin seed oil to reduce weight. The scheme is simple: one teaspoon one hour before eating, up to three times a day. The exact regimen will be suggested by the body itself. For someone, a single dose of the product per day may be enough to achieve the effect.

Special mention deserves the flavor and smell. Opinions regarding these characteristics are polar. Some people are delighted with a specific aroma and flavor notes, while others remain at best indifferent. Are you from the second group? If you find the taste unpleasant, you can soften it by washing down the oil with a couple of sips of any natural juice. It is not advisable to use water for this. Another option is to eat a small oatmeal cookie or a piece of toasted bread. However, it should be borne in mind that cookies themselves somewhat stimulate the intestines, and you should monitor the body’s reaction to such food combinations.

Contraindications

The main contraindications are diseases of the pancreas and gall bladder, especially if there are stones. Another group of contraindications is gastrointestinal diseases, such as gastritis and ulcers.

The following diseases/conditions require mandatory consultation with a doctor before using pumpkin seed oil:

  • Pregnancy / breastfeeding
  • Diabetes mellitus (any type)
  • Dysfunction of internal organs

Proper use of pumpkin seed oil as a dietary supplement for weight loss helps to achieve better results together with a healthy diet and appropriate feasible exercise.
