Weight loss and reduction of body volume is a complex process that requires the application of several techniques at once. The use of metabolism-improving products can demonstrate a good result.
Dietary supplements
Pumpkin is famous not only for turning into a carriage in a famous fairy tale. There are also many useful substances in this fruit: fiber, vitamins and an impressive mineral composition. It is not for nothing that nutritionists strongly do not recommend excluding it from the diet.
Pumpkin oil is, in a sense, a concentrate of everything that the fruit is famous for. The product is rich in vitamins of group B, as well as A and E. It also contains vegetable fatty acids, phospholipids, flavonoids and carotene, which gives recognizable orange color to many varieties of pumpkin.
What are the properties of pumpkin oil that allow you to use it for weight loss, adding it to your diet? It may seem that the product (in the way it affects) breaks up subcutaneous fat, and then removes all excess amounts. Such an assumption is tempting, but unfortunately, erroneous. Here is how the true picture looks:
- improves pancreas function;
- activates the digestion processes;
- the body more effectively gets rid of waste products.
Scientific fact: As a rule, subcutaneous fat is broken up only when there is active work of muscles, i.e. due to physical exercises. The simultaneous activation of metabolism in this case creates favorable conditions for weight loss.
A balanced diet is another important condition. If the food is rich in refined fats and “fast” carbohydrates, then the maximum that pumpkin oil is likely to do is slow down the formation of new subcutaneous fat deposits.
Rules of use
How to take pumpkin oil for weight loss? Remember how new products are introduced into the children’s diet. As a rule, it starts with small volumes. The same is true here.
It is recommended to start using the product from one teaspoon. Add this amount of oil to salad, ready-made sauce, slightly cooled porridge or soup (not soup that is supposed to be eaten cold). Any dish where the addition of vegetable oil without heating is provided will do.
Important! Do not heat pumpkin oil, as in this case it loses almost all of its useful properties. It is also important to observe the storage conditions: keep in a dark place at a temperature of up to 25°C.
It is recommended to introduce a new product into the diet gradually, in a relaxed atmosphere. Allergic reactions or individual intolerance are always possible. Even for those who eat pumpkin itself freely and without any discomfort when digesting it.
You should also keep in mind another subtle point: Increased bowel activity is possible. If it is mild, then such an effect can only be welcomed. However, diarrhea is also possible, which is treated with sorbents, sufficient hydration and rest.
Has your body accepted the new product? Then you can slightly increase the “dosage” as needed. However, you should not replace all the vegetable oil in the diet with pumpkin oil. The maximum allowable amount is up to three tablespoons per day. A larger amount can harm the pancreas.
If everything goes well, you can try another way and start drinking pure pumpkin oil for weight loss. The scheme is simple: one teaspoon one hour before meals, up to three times a day. The more precise regimen your body will tell you itself. Sometimes, a single dose can have the desired effect.
One cannot but mention the smell and taste qualities. Opinions about these characteristics differ greatly. Someone praises specific flavoring and taste notes, while others, to put it mildly, are not inspired. Do you feel like you belong to the latter group? You can muffle the taste by washing down the oil with a few sips of any natural juice. It is not recommended to drink water. Another option is to eat a small piece of bread (oat, buckwheat) or a crouton. It is important to keep in mind that bread itself has a laxative effect, and monitor your body’s reaction to such a combination of products.
Didn’t like this oil? Don’t be upset, there are many other interesting options: sea buckthorn, castor, black cumin, coconut.
Contraindications
The main contraindications are diseases of the pancreas and gall bladder, especially in the presence of stones. Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, such as gastritis and stomach ulcer, come second.
With the following diseases/conditions, it is necessary to use pumpkin oil only after consulting with a doctor:
- pregnancy/breastfeeding;
- diabetes (any type);
- diseases of the internal organs.
Proper use of pumpkin oil in a diet aimed at weight loss can enhance the results achieved thanks to the meal plan, combined with metered and acceptable physical exercise.
